Based on systematic analysis of the fundamental status of the provision of pre-school education and related problems in Beijing，this study probes into the needs for development of Beijing pre-school education，and from the perspective of the imbalance between supply and demand，put forth some advices for further advancing the pre-school education in Beijing. Measures recommended include developing community-run kindergartens，regulating the unregistered ones，developing childcare centers，operating kindergartens with flexibility，and improving the quality of pre-school education.
