On the basis of the 2015-16 data of the nationwide dynamic monitoring from the National Health Commission on the floating population，this study makes a wholesale and dynamic analysis on the basic characteristics，employment status，guarantee of livelihood，and the will of social integration of the migrant workers in Beijing. The study suggests that against the current backdrop of the decentralization of all functions unrelated to its status as national capital and the synergetic advancement of Beijing，Tianjin and Hebei，it is necessary to give full play to the advantages of synergetic development and to keep innovating citizen-friendly institutional mechanisms for the new migrant workers’ integration into the city，so as to improve the quality of urbanized population and to enable sound operation of the city administration.
