After Beijing was decided to host the Olympic Games in 2008，residents in all communities of Beijing began to carry out Olympic spirit in community building. This paper，based on a case of Dongsi Community in Beijing as the first Olympic community in the history of Olympics，describes its creation，main idea，object，and many kinds of activities organized and participated by the residents in the community；points out the significance and deep influence on the communities and the residents by the combination of Olympic spirit and community building.
