In recent years，grassroots conflicts in China have showed the features of pluralization，radicalization，and involvement of a large number of people. Therefore it is necessary to actively explore new approaches to the resolution of these conflicts，so as to create a stable and orderly social and economic environment for the deepening of the reform and opening up. The government of Guangdong Province has carried out institutional innovation on the resolution of grassroots conflicts in accordance with law and achieved marked results in enhancing the legal awareness and medication ability of grassroots government organs and in strengthening the mechanism for the resolution of grassroots conflicts，thereby laying a sound foundation for the further construction of the rule of law in the province.
