The practice of the relatives of public officials using the power held by public officials to engage in profit-making activities and obtain improper benefits harms public interest，causes corruption that is increasingly difficult to discover，and therefore has become a focus of future anti-corruption work in China. This report reviews the existing provisions regulating the profit-making activities of the relatives of public officials and，based on the result of a questionnaire investigation，identifies existing misunderstandings about the profit-making activities of the relatives of public officials that may adversely affect the development of anti-corruption laws. The report points out that China should strengthen the construction of the relevant systems and improve the enforcement of the relevant laws so as to better regulate profit-making activities of the relatives of public officials.
