随着信息化的不断发展，个人信息保护制度越来越受到关注。为了配合中国个人信息保护立法工作，中国社会科学院法学研究所的课题组对中国个人信息保护的现状和公众意识进行了调研。本报告分析了中国个人信息滥用的状况、中国个人信息保护法规状况、中国公众的个人信息保护意识，并以信用卡领域个人信息保护为例，分析了金融行业个人信息保护的基本状况。在此基础上，报告对中国个人信息保护立法进行了展望。
<<With the rapid development of informatization，personal information protection is increasingly becoming an issue of public concern. In order to assist China's legislation on personal information protection，the Law Institute of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences built a project team to investigate and research on status auo and public awareness on personal information protection in China. This report analyzes the current situation of abuse of personal information and of laws and regulations on the protection of personal information in China. It also analyzes，through questionnaire investigation，public awareness of personal information protection and，explores through investigation on China's credit cards business，the protection of personal information in China's financial industry. On the basis of the above research work，this report puts forward some suggestions on the future of legislation on the protection of personal information in China.
