As an important part of Xi Jinping’s thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era，the green development concept is a new reflection on Chinese way of economic and social development that conforms to the trend of global green development. It is also a significant theoretical achievement of the sinicization of Marxism eco-thought，which follows Chinese traditional green culture and draws lessons from Chinese history of development since the founding of New China，especially over the past 40 years since the reform and opening up. The scientific connotation of Xi Jinping’s green development concept includes five aspects，namely green economy，green politics，green culture，green society and green ecology，realizing the unity of the true，the good and the beautiful，that is，the unity of conforming with the regularity，the value and the ideal.
