This paper，focusing on the development of the medical and health care of Shandong in 2017，analyzes the health status of the residents，the allocation of medical resources，the capacity of medical services and people’s lifestyles for the health. Meanwhile，some concerns will be also put forward，such as the incompleteness of the prevention system for self-health protection，the inefficient cooperation between various departments，the lack of the medical cost control，the challenges in the chronic diseases prevention，as well as the low level of public health literacy. In order to speed up the program of “Healthy Shandong”，some proposals are going to be submitted on enhancing the Top-Level Design，expanding the health concept and facilitating the health-related industries.
