Since the 18th CPC National Congress，Shandong government has focused on promoting employment and business，by giving high priority to the employment and pursuing a proactive employment policy，which leads to a stable employment status and some significant achievements in employment field. However，with the rapid aging progress，infinite supply of labor force has gradually disappeared，and the age structure of labor force gives rise to difficulty and challenge. Meanwhile，in the process of new and old kinetic energy conversion，we must further promote the quality of labor force and spur new mode of business in rural region. The paper，using the data from the statistical yearbooks and Shandong General Socio-Economic Survey hold by SDASS in 2017，analyzes the employment status in recent years and the trends for coming years from the aspects of supply and demand of labor force，quality of labor force，work condition and security，and employment and business in rural regions. In the last part，we shall put forward some advice for the government order to optimize the employment in Shandong.
