This report combs the index system and method of the existing environmental assessment，studies the main contents of the urban environmental assessment，and constructs the evaluation index system from five aspects of urban solid waste management，urban gas waste management，urban liquid waste management，urban ecological greening management and urban noise environment management. By using the method of analytic hierarchy process and index weighting，the evaluation and ranking of urban environmental management level in 36 key cities all over the country are carried out，and the results of environmental evaluation are analyzed.
