The year of 2016，which is the second year of “Annual Action for Urban Infrastructure Construction ” in Sichuan province. In this year，urban infrastructure construction focused on leading urban facilities planning；accelerating urban infrastructure construction of major cities' important areas，sponge city pilot construction，construction of underground comprehensive pipe corridor，and multiple planning integration of counties；establishing appointment system of violate law and discipline ，etc.. And urban infrastructure construction is continually being fit in with strategies of “The Belt and Road” and “Yangtze River economic zone”. On the while，innovative cities are gradually cultivated as a platform for open-up cooperation to the outside world，city functions are constantly improved，the soft and hard environment of open to the outside world are obviously better than before. Otherwise，an open new urbanization construction is being advanced quickly. According to the above measures which provide important support for Sichuan opening and development of the city to the outside，urban infrastructure construction of major cities in Sichuan province has been clearly promoted，the rate of resident population and urbanization has kept growing，city activity and comprehensive competitiveness has been enhanced.
