Since 2013，Sichuan Province has implemented the multi-point and multi-pole supporting development strategy，which has effectively promoted regional coordinated development. Based on this strategy，the paper made an evaluation and analysis on Sichuan's regional coordinated development from four dimensions including fundamental capacity，primate city，regional balance and backland supporting. Thus，the paper thought that driven by the strategy，the whole province's coordinated development had improved dramatically. So，to deepen and expand the multi-point and multi-pole supporting development strategy，the key is to transform the primate city from siphon effect to overflow effect，cultivate new growth points in secondary regions，improve the scale effect of counties，townships （towns），and promote urban and rural integrative development.
