In the western regions，the score and the ranking gap of Sichuan urban sustainable competitiveness are large. Chengdu，with a total score of 0.614 points，ranks first in the western region. The disparity of matching coefficient of urban society competitiveness and the matching coefficient of environment competitiveness are small in the western region. Urban competitiveness （economic competitiveness） is the main factor influencing the total score of urban sustainable competitiveness. In Sichuan province，the scores of urban economic scale and innovation ability are higher，but the score of urban economic structure and infrastructure are lower. Urban social sustainability of Sichuan are ranking in the front. The score of basic public service and social structure is high，and the standard of living standard of urban residents is relatively low. Urban environmental sustainability is not high in general，and urban ecological construction is lagging behind.
