In 2017，Shanxi Province clearly defined tourism industry as a new strategic pillar industry in the economic and social development of the province. The tourism department created a good safety environment for stable and harmonious development of tourism industry by establishing the safety responsibility system，strengthening the construction of laws and regulations，implementing extensive safety inspection，establishing a comprehensive supervision and control mechanism for tourism safety，constructing a tourism safety risk prevention system. 2018 is the opening year for Shanxi Province to forge the three new tourism sectors consists of the Yellow River，the Great Wall and Taihang Mountain. The Shanxi tourism department system will continue to manage the tourism industry according to law，perfect the safety responsibility system，improve the classification and control system of safety risks，intensify supervision，pay close attention to hidden trouble investigation and management，and push forward safety production.
