In 2017，China's high-risk tourism industry further developed. The overall tourism safety situation was relatively stable，and government supervision was relatively complete. However，there were still problems such as illegal operations of related companies，safety risks of some projects，and safety awareness and self-rescue skills of visitors. In 2017，the number of high-risk tourism accidents in China has increased，but the accident losses have been effectively controlled. Hence，safety education and publicity and guidance for high-risk tourism projects should be intensified to enhance industry safety awareness and professional skills. And the mechanism of cross-border and cross-regional tourism safety management cooperation should be established to ensure the safety of high-risk tourism at home and abroad. In addition，high-risk travel insurance and multiple high-risk travel emergency rescue system should be also promoted.
