<<The Shiite of The Gulf states have to reach to the outside ally Iran for help when they are under their Sunni government suppress. Maybe these Arabia Shiite groups can be regarded as Iran’s “natural allies”. After the 1979 revolution Iran found itself in a unique position, thus it can use its Shiite characteristics to achieve its foreign policy goals. Iran used to take advantage of this influence in Iraq’s internal affairs. Yemen,Bahrain and Saudi Shiite groups are currently facing the same crisis,Iran is using domestic instability to succeed in these countries. The outgoing Obama administration and incoming U.S. Administration should reflect on its own Middle East policy, use the lessons of the Iraqi case to consider how to run its relationship with Bahrain,Saudi Arabia and Yemen.
