In 2017，the new materials manufacturing industry in Henan was running smoothly under the impetus of a series of powerful measures，the industry benefit was better and the development of new products and the upgrading of enterprises were outstanding. At the same time，there were also some questions in it. For example，it is small scale，low speed and unreasonable product structure，poor innovation ability and unsound elements guarantee in the transformation and development and so on. We are looking forward to the future，the new material manufacturing industry in Henan faces both favorable conditions and great opportunities as well as a series of challenges and restrictive factors as part of the new material industry. Under the new situation，we should focus on the aspects of innovation，development，green development，and integration development，we should take the corresponding countermeasures to enlarge the total amount and accelerate the development of the new material industry.
