In recent years，the international competition in cyberspace has been on the rise. As a key strategic basis of the cyberspace，the critical information infrastructure has constantly been threatened by hackers and cyber-terrorist organizations and has even been the focus and emphasis of international confrontation. Therefore，it is of great significance to carry out the legislation for critical information infrastructure protection. On the basis of reviewing the legislative background，necessity and some international related works about critical information infrastructure protection，this chapter expounds in detail the new progress that has been made in the legislation for critical information infrastructure protection in China，as well as some other works related to critical information infrastructure protection，such as cyber security inspection and construction of monitoring，warning and notification system，and so on. Also，some comments and suggestions are put forward in this chapter for the follow-up implementation of legislation for critical information infrastructure protection.
