From 2016 to 2017，Bulgarian politics has still subjected to ups and downs. A candidate of Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria（GERB）party lost the presidential election. After that，the party leader Boyko Borisov resigned once again and won the parliamentary election in 2017. As a result，Bulgarian politics was relatively stable in spite of fluctuations. In foreign policies，Bulgaria continued its commitment to the European integration，actively took part in NATO’s military exercises in the Black Sea，and followed with interest the accession process of the Western Balkans to EU. As the European integration gained momentum in Central and Eastern Europe，Bulgaria has achieved some late-mover advantages. From 2016 to 2017，Bulgarian economy maintained steady growth，but the birth rate was low and the population was declining. Population aging and brain drain has become more serious，which added pressure on the Bulgarian labor market.
