Science popularization is a crucial measure to raise the level of public scientific civilization. It is also an important foundation to realize the innovation-driven development strategy. Based on the five-W model theory of Lasswell，this paper will analyze the problems of science popularization activities held by Xiangyang City Library and put forward relevant solutions，thus providing a referential result for further expanding the scientific popularization activities of public libraries.
