<<Is there a relationship between individual social status perception and the patient’s trust in medicine? And what are affected factors?Study primed social status perception and examined the level of trust-in-doctors of 300 patients who had visited doctors by their own or with family members in the past year. The results showed that:(1)There was no correlation between social status perception and patients’ trust in medical treatment.(2)The correlation and regression analysis showed that, the family income had significant positive influence on the medical trust of the patients with high social status perception group(β=0.18,p<0.05),and could explain the 3% variation of the medical trust score of the High status perception group effectively.(3)The results of the difference test showed that there were significant gender differences in the patients’ trust in the low status perception group, and the males were significantly higher than females [t(1,258)=2.21,p<0.05]. Conclusions:social status perception is not correlated to the patients’ trust, and the influence factors of the social perception group on the medical trust are different. That is,the influence factors of the high status perception group on the medical trust are the family economic income, and the influence factors of the low social perception group on the medical trust is gender.
