The root of the dilemma of doctor-patient trust in China lies in the role conflict of the doctors and patients caused by social transformation. In the process of the transformation of doctor-patient relationship from traditional one to modern one，there come into being four types of role conflicts in the fields of social communication，health culture，medical practice，and market relationship. Under the role of conflicts，the patients may feel unequal and consider that they are in a disadvantaged position. As a result，it is difficult to build trust between doctors and patients. If we want to rebuild doctor-patient trust in our society，it is necessary to start with the change of the disadvantaged position of the patients defined psychologically by themselves. It is the core of the construction of doctor-patient trust t to redefine the relationship between doctors and patients and establish a new type of role norms.
