In the year of 2017，the preservation of historic city is embarking on a new stage，a series of new progresses have been made in aspects of top-level design，preservation of inner city and traditional culture-zone，underground archaeology，museum education and research as well as innovation of cultural inheritance. Looking into the future，there are contradictions between preservation of inner city and preservation of historic city，preservation of historic city and cultural inheritance，preservation of cultural relics and conservation of regional environment. We should take Beijing's overall development strategy and situations of preservation of historic city into account，and actively establish a new setup，create a new situation in the preservation of historic city in Beijing.
