Geothermal resource is a kind of renewable clean energy combines “heat，mine and water” in one，and it is an effective alternative energy for traditional fossil energy. Henan Province actively promoted the development of geothermal industry in 2017，shallow geothermal resource development and utilization projects，middle-deep hydrothermal geothermal resources investigation and Hot Dry Rock resource potential evaluation were steadily carry out. According to the plan，the geothermal resources in Henan will be further promoted and applied in the fields of heating and cooling by geothermal clean energy，health care，spa tourism，characteristic agriculture，power generation and other fields in the future. This paper gives the suggestion of promote the healthy development for geothermal industry in Henan，from the point of survey and evaluation，industry supervision，project demonstration and development of key technologies，which aims to the problems of nonsystematic plan of geothermal resources development，industrial decentralization，and low market level in Henan Province.
