With the deepening of the reforms in administrative approval system，administrative approval service modes have played an increasingly crucial role. As an important service examination and approval platform，government affairs service center promotes reforms of the administrative approval system，improves modes of administrative power operation，standardizes government administrative behaviors，increases government administration efficiency，strengthens supervision and restriction of administrative power and stimulates the construction of service-oriented government. Administrative approval bureau facilitates the centralization of administrative approval authority and leads administrative approval reforms toward simplification，standardization，coordination and efficiency，thereby realizing easy，orderly and efficient administrative approval. This paper compares advantages and disadvantages of administrative approval bureau and government affairs service center，and argues that local governments should make choices in accordance with actual conditions and requirements of administrative approval reforms. It is advised to promote reforms on the basis of current and long-term objectives.
