The Internet-of-things time is drawing near now，and the narrowband Internet of things（NB-IoT）is becoming an important weapon which the mobile communication industry uses to deal with the Internet of things for its advantages，such as low power consumption and broad coverage. Yingtan City has actively embraced the Internet-of-things time and firmly seized the key period for research，industrialization and application of the mobile Internet of things，mainly NB-IoT，and taken the lead to start building a NB-IoT pilot city in China. This report systematically reviews the city's practices in building a NB-IoT pilot city，analyzes its experience and problems and gives corresponding suggestions to provide a reference and example for propelling the development of the Interment of things and construction of intelligent cities.
