Big data keep evolving without cease and new application requirements and practical issues emerge. In this context，all circles of the society pay growing attention to the basic research on big data. As a general work on certain discipline of knowledge，the encyclopedia is an important carrier that is used to conduct and propel the basic research. In this sense，the compilation of the Big Data Encyclopedia and the theoretical framework which it defines will be one of the important indicators that measure China's big data development level. With a focus on the theoretical framework，this report will mainly interpret its research strategy and methodology and parse the formation and basis of the theoretical framework in depth to provide a valuable reference for development of the big data discipline system.
