The National Civilized City is a comprehensive honorary title reflecting the whole civilization level of a city，and it is the most valuable intangible asset and the most important city brand of a city.In 1995，the city of Jiayuguan formally put forward the slogan of building a National Civilized City.In November 2017，it was awarded the title of the fifth“National Civilized City”.For 22 years，taking fostering and practicing core socialist the soul main line of working，Jiayuguan city always adhered to the fight a protracted war，a relay race，invested a lot of manpower，material and financial resources，and constantly improved the city infrastructure，strengthened the city management，so the city living environment has been improved，and the quality of public culture and the city civilization have been constantly improved，and periodical achievements have been made in working.However，we should also see that the current construction of civilized cities still faces many problems and pressures.This paper summarizes the work done in 2017 to create a civilized city in China，and puts forward some feasible countermeasures and suggestions for the existing problems，so as to further promote the scientific，standardized and long-term development of civilized city construction in China.
