本研究聚集中国新兴的素食传播,针对西方传统素食研究对素食实践生命意义、传播意义和空间意义的剖析不足,从素食作为一种生命传播空间的视角,发现并阐释素食传播的中国特色,素食主义者如何在特定的空间中传播素食的生命意义?结果发现,素食馆提供了一个从居家到出家的感知性空间;布道会提供了一个从今生到来世的构想性空间;新媒体提供了一个从现实到虚拟的生活性空间。
<<This study focuses on China’s emerging vegetarian communication space. Traditional western researches on vegetarianism usually ignore the life meaning,communication perspective and space practice of vegetarianism. This article,therefore,argues to study vegetarianism from the perspectives of life,communication,and space,regarding vegetarianism as a space of life communication,and attempting to ask the research question in Chinese context:How do the Chinese vegetarian communicate vegetarianism’s life meaning in vegetarian spaces that turns vegetarianism into a space of life communication. The research results show that vegetarian restaurants offer a perceived space from home to religion,the sermon meetings propose a conceived space from this life to the afterlife,and new media provide a lived space from the real to the virtual.
