Food safety has been the focus of public concern in recent years. Through the empirical statistical analysis of 1000 criminals in Beijing’s first criminal trial of 912 food safety crimes,found that hazardous food crimes in Beijing showed a declining trend year by year,crimes more occurred in the periphery of the central area of urban-rural areas,behavioral methods were more “sales” type,most of the behavioral objects were health food,criminal sites are mainly concentrated on health care stores,general stores,pharmacies and food shops. At the same time,criminals are mostly first-time criminals,with less personal danger and relatively minor criminal consequences. To this end,we should strengthen the popularization of food safety knowledge in governance,improve law enforcement and supervision capacity,strengthen the source control of the “problem” food and strengthen the supervision over key people.
