Despite the fact that the growth rate of social organizations in China has accelerated over the past two years，development of social organizations was still not sufficient in either view of the total amount or the share of the public in a ten-thousand-people unit. The statistics of big data reveals the obvious imbalances of social organizations development among regions and between urban and rural areas in China. In the new era，social organizations in China have a clearer orientation：being incorporated into the national governance system with legal protection and being integrated into the overall plan for the party and state institutional reforms，social organization in now one of the most crucial constructive forces. Coupled with the establishment of the legal system，information supervision system and credit reward and punishment system，social organizations usher in new opportunities for development，and play an irreplaceable role in participation，service，and grass-root governance. In the future，the government is expected to improve policy support from the aspects of strengthening top-level design，building policy systems，increasing policy coordination，and enriching policies and measures. And the social organizations should further clarify their development orientation，demonstrate and implement their new approaches.
