<<In 2016,the countrywide overall culture and education consumption demand in urban and rural areas continued to maintain high growth:total culture and education consumption went up by 12.39%,reaching 2701.359 billion yuan;the per capita value went up by 11.78%,reaching 1959.40 yuan. As measured by per capita value, the annual growth of culture and education consumption in urban and rural areas was remarkably higher than the GDP growth, evidently higher than the residents’ income growth and evidently higher than the total consumption growth, also remarkably higher than the savings growth. The disparity in culture and education consumption between urban and rural areas widened by 0.25%;the regional gap of culture and education consumption in urban and rural areas among various provinces shrank by 0.34% over the previous year. The status evaluations of the countrywide overall culture and education consumption demand in urban and rural areas in 2016 are as follows:the value of vertical evaluation is remarkably higher than the base value since the period of firstly five-year;it is remarkably higher than the base value since the period of secondly five-year;it is remarkably higher than the base value since the period of thirdly five-year;it is remarkably higher than the base value since the period of fourly five-year and it is slightly higher than the base value of the previous year;the annual lateral evaluation without urban-rural and regional gaps is evidently lower than the ideal value, because of the continuous widening disparity of the urban-rural and the regional gaps.
