Since the reform and opening up，the urbanization in China's coastal areas has been developing rapidly.In this process，due to the unscientific urban planning and the imperfect system of coastal protection，land shortage in the process of urbanization and reclamation projects have caused great impact on the protection of coastal zones and marine ecological environment.The sustainable development of coastal cities is also at risk and challenge.In recent years，the state has rapidly introduced policies and measures for the protection and restoration of the coastal zone，and local governments have also increased their investment in the protection and restoration of coastal zones.In view of the experiences and lessons of the coastal zone protection in the process of urbanization in Shenzhen and other places，the study suggests that coastal areas need to promote integrated coastal zone management through scientific urban planning and optimizing the layout of the marine economy so as to achieve a win-win situation between urban development and marine protection.
