In 2016，“the 13th Five Year Plan”put forward “expand the blue economic space” and “inheritance and develop outstanding traditional culture”，so as to further establish the important position of marine culture in the development of the country and to welcome the development opportunity of marine folklore customs.This year，there are three new trends in the development of marine folklore，that is，maritime folklore's “resources” attribute has been strengthened，“cultural” attributes has been weakened ；the construction of “Marine Folklore” is further demonstrated；international exchanges are increasingly close.In 2016，the development of marine folk custom has made many achievements，but there are also many problems.That is lack of coherence of problem consciousness and lack of basic theory research.In the future，the study of marine folklore should develope from three aspects：improve the practical significance and academic value of the research；broaden the academic research field，cultivate and strengthen the research team and encourage the collaborative innovation；encourage marine folklore “going out”；“folklore” culture and industrial ecological system is the changing path of marine folk custom.
