One of the critical issues on the study of Huang Zongxi is the overuse of the modern discourse.By this way，although we can make the best use of his thoughts as a tradition resource to serve the practical needs，it also prevents us from getting a deep comprehension.To improve the research，for one thing，we should understand Huang's thoughts as a whole，rather than just focusing on some certain aspects.For another，much more attention should be paid to the background and historical context of his thought and its continuity with the tradition.This framework of dual perspective，which presenting both the continuity and difference between modern and tradition，may shed new light on the study of Huang and other thinkers in Ming-Qing transitional period.
