This paper argues that the growth of Sichuan's auto industry in 2018 will maintain the growth level above 10%. With the continuous advance of the implementation of China's manufacturing power and strategy of “The Belt and Road” construction，to the development of Sichuan automobile industry has brought enormous challenge and the rare opportunity. In 2017，the automobile industry in Sichuan province grew steadily，the layout was accelerated，and the positioning of various cities in promoting the development of the automotive industry was clearer. But the serious shortage of R ＆ D capability，the unreasonable industrial structure and the traffic（logistics）condition are still the important factors that restrict the development of Sichuan automobile industry. The author believes that the 2018 Sichuan should spare no efforts in speeding up the pace of restructuring the traditional auto industry，the scientifically developing new energy automotive industry，supporting appropriate industrial policy，accelerating the development of the automobile industry cooperation between Chengdu and Chongqing area，encouraging car enterprises with independent-designed brand to come in and go out and other aspects
