The member states of GCC constitute the main part of Western Asia，which is endowed with gas and oil. Taking up a considerable position in world politics and global energy supply，GCC states constitute an important area of BRI and tend to complement China in trade structure as well as resource endowment. Recent years saw the rapid development of trade exchanges between China and GCC. This article makes an analysis of significance，progress and prospect of free trade zone talks between China and GCC. It is advisable for China and GCC to strengthen their talks mechanisms and reset FTZ talks as early as possible so as to reach a win-win agreement.
