The Convention on the Rights of the Child has promoted the realization of child right for participation，which represents a perspective to understand the concept of children’s participation. Besides，children’s life experiences also mean a lot for their healthy growth. Therefore，this study focuses on children’s participation in this broader sense，and investigates into it accordingly. The article summaries the research design of “investigation into Chinese children’s participation status”，and then reports general situation of children’s participation in seven cities in terms of household participation，school participation，after-school life，social life，extracurricular education participation，online participation，public affairs participation and so on.
