In 2016，the Yangtze River economic belt development strategy has achieved comprehensive breakthrough，from top design to specific project.Affected by the complex internal and external factors，the growth rate of the Yangtze River Economic Belt declined slightly in 2016.However，the region achieved relatively stable and rapid development.Its impetus，structure and quality of economy are gradually improved.Residents' income grew steadily，education，science and technology，medical care and employment developed steadily.The level of social and people's livelihood has steadily improved.It has become the regional strategic line that the region should take great efforts on environment protection together and not engage in large-scale development.Special actions on regional environmental protection and comprehensive treatment of ecological environment have been implemented and achieved positive results.However，some problems such as unbalanced and uncoordinated development are still obvious in the Yangtze River economic belt.It is important for the Yangtze River economic belt to strengthen the overall coordination development in 2017.This requires a sound mechanism of regional coordination，practical implementation of the Yangtze River economic belt development plan，promoting regional economic and social integration，and pushing forward regional ecological protection and governance comprehensively.
