This article，based on the data analysis of the third quarter in 2017，reviewed the domestic and foreign macro-economic background，analysed the economic characteristics of Pudong New Area. The year 2018 is vitally important for the development of the 13th five-year plan for Pudong New Area. The economic development of Pudong New Area is facing not only the rare development opportunities，but also the risks and pressures that cannot be ignored. Overall，the economic growth of Pudong New Area will remain stable in 2018. In the face of new problems，Pudong New Area needs to accelerate institutional innovation，deepen supply-side structural reform，deepen reform of the China（Shanghai）Pilot Free Trade Zone，and deepen innovation-driven reform.
