The survey among urban and rural residents on satisfaction degree of Chinese education showed that,due to the realization of the policy of scientific development and the promotion of education equity,public satisfaction of education upgraded evidently in the year of 2007.This questionnaire scored 3.538 for average satisfaction point from 16 questions,which means that public evaluation of education was between “satisfied in general” and “rather satisfied”. Proportion of high-satisfaction group was 57.4%,compared with 12.6% of low-satisfaction group. According to the sequence of indexes,top three of the satisfaction level recorded the status of education,progress of educational reform and policy implementation of free-of-charge in rural compulsory education,while the tuition standard of universities,the effect of government action in regulating arbitrary educational charge,and rectification of ’ school-choosing’ phenomenon in basic education stayed at the three bottom ones.
