The development of modernity has witnessed the transformation of the mode of social trust from that of particular trust in traditional society to institutional trust in modernized society. The legitimacy of the “asymmetric nature” of doctor-patient relationship which had been thought highly of during traditional era is now crashing down due to the process of social transform. The issue concerning the relationship between doctor and patient has been widely discussed attributes to the rising severity of doctor-patient conflicts in society at large. Based on the social transform perspective，this article analyzed the cause of doctor-patient conflicts，as well as the consequential effects and the underlying switching mechanism between cognition and emotion. Only by viewing the doctor-patient relationship as a dynamic process of interaction，can the negative effects be mitigated and minimized.
