With the establishment goal of socialist market economy in the early 1990s，and the deepen reform of economic system after accessing to the WTO，China urgently needs a large number of international competitive innovative talents in economics and commercial science，who should be equipped with basic economics theory，advanced research method and the innovation ability. This paper gives a case presentation of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics in the development of innovative talents cultivation model and practice in economics since 2004. Based on the theory，history and quantitative analysis，its curriculum focus on dialectical united relationship among the study of Marxist economics and economic history，the basic training of modern economic theory and the method of mathematical and quantitative analysis. This kind of cultivation mode achieves a virtuous circle between cultivation，employment and enrollment，which can be promoted to the world.
