With the rapid development of tourism industry，the problem of its land use has become an increasingly prominent issue. Under this background，the central and local governments have introduced a series of land use policies to support the development of tourism industry，which gradually optimizes the land use environment. However，due to the congenital deficiency of land use policy in the field of tourism，many problems have emerged gradually. For example，some of the policies are too general and fuzzy to meet the needs of tourism development practice，and undoubtedly the problem is getting worse when we put the rapid deepening and development of mass tourism and comprehensive tourism into consideration. Thus，It is suggested in this paper that tourism land use can be regarded as the pathfinder field of land system reform and a great way to promote policy innovation，so as to make the policy design of tourism land use be more integrated，comprehensive and feasible.
