With the implementation of the new Food Safety Law and President Xi’s proposal of Four Strict Standards，the inspection of food and drug has carried out effectively. The focus of the inspection includes random sampling，the clarification of responsibility，the education of the general public，and the introduction of social force in the governance structure. In the past year，the criminal cases relating to food and drug safety have been reduced，and the passing rate of random sampling has been improved greatly. However，there are still room for improvement to meet people’s satisfaction. The report introduces the general situation of the food and drug safety with special focus on typical cases，and presents policy recommendation for future work.
