As one of the second batch of “100 Towns Construction” pilot projects of Sichuan Province and one of thefirst batch of demonstration small towns of Mianyang City during the 12^th Five-year Plan Period, Longmen Town has made outstanding achievements in the construction of the commerce, trade and logistics characteristic small town by relying on the practical conditions, using its own unique geographical location and excellent cultural environment, with the commerce, trade and logistics as the core, and in accordance with the development model of “integration of park and city, and integration of industries and city.” Through such methods as field investigation, interviews and seminars, the research group has expounded the current situation, main experiences and practices in the development of the commerce, trade and logistics characteristic small town at Longmen Town. Meanwhile, it made the corresponding analysis of the problems and difficulties which the town was faced with during its construction of the commerce, trade and logistics characteristic small town, e.g. the planning was not scientific enough, there was a lack of reformation and innovation, there was limited investment in the infrastructure, and there was a lack of the concept of ecological construction. Finally, the research group suggested that the town should base on the long-term planning, create innovative mechanisms and systems, increase investment and pay high attention to the ecological construction.
