The dialogue journalism as concept appeared in the end of twentieth Century.There has been no dialogue journalism theory with generality and interpretation so far.What matters is that to lay the foundation for constructing the theoretical system of dialogue journalism.This paper discusses the origin of the theory of dialogue journalism from the following four aspects：the theoretical source of the dialogue journalism，the conceptual source of the dialogue journalism，the practical source of the dialogue journalism and technological support.For more than ten years，Chinese and western academic circles have studied dialogue journalism and its related concepts（such as dialogue，dialogue idea and so on），which constituted the academic map of the study of the dialogue.This paper will comb and review the research results of the domestic and foreign dialogue journalism theory，based on the discussion of the origin of the theory of dialogue journalism to establish the basis and premise of dialogue journalism.
