Under the guidance of “One Belt and One Road”，the voluntary service business in China has begun to go abroad into the world，which is necessary to know the development status and problems of the Nonprofit organizations from the western world. This article aims to describe the basic situation of the development of Nonprofit Organizations in German and specifically to further introduce the latest status of voluntary service in Germany. Then it will compare the participation rate difference from the vertical and horizontal perspective because of the gender and age，and finally analyze the motives to attend the voluntary activities，and the characteristics and problems of the voluntary service in Germany.
