Aging of the population is one of the major national situations that we have to face in the social and economic development of our country. The elderly are usually weak and vulnerable，and thereby ask a relatively high level of requirement for health service，and that health service would consume a lot of medical resources. With the increase of the elderly population，especially of the advanced aged people，the demand and requirement for rehabilitation and long-term nursing is，correspondingly，increased rapidly. The utility of the health service by the elderly is a tremendously crucial factor that would have great impact on their health situation and the prognosis of diseases. Within the current health system，establishing an elderly health service system and a health-supporting system especially for the elderly，is to have great significance not only in relieving the stress of the increasing demand of medication or disease burden produced by aging but also in realizing the healthy aging.
