Long-term care insurance provides arrangement system of continuous care service and financial compensation for the insured who has lose self-care ability.Currently，the establishment of the long-term care insurance system has already been in the pilot phase from the national level；Chengdu，the capital city of Sichuan province，is one of the national pilot district.This thesis explores the necessity and feasibility of establishing long-term care insurance in Sichuan province，on the basis of theoretical analysis and empirical research；it has significant reference value for the implementation of this system in the entire province scope.
